Community Speedwatch Scheme
Sibford Gower and Sibford Ferris Parish Councils jointly purchased a speed detection device in August 2021 in order to run a Community Speedwatch Scheme in response to concerns raised by parishioners about speeding within the Sibfords. Taking part in the scheme would provide us with data that can help identify the level of speeding issues in the village informing future plans for speed reduction whilst also educating and encouraging drivers to drive sensibly. Unfortunately the minimum number of volunteers required to run the scheme was not achieved so the scheme could not go ahead. The Parish Councils have agreed to make one more attempt to get a group together to run the scheme with the hope of having volunteers trained and ready to start the scheme when we get some warmer weather.
