Did you know? ...

… The area by the pond in Sibford Gower used to be known as Pond End. Could this mean that Bond’s End Lane is in fact a misspelling?

… The Sibfords were once under a great sea. Fossils found in the garden of Mulberry House, Sibford Ferris, during building work in 1986 have been dated to the Middle Jurassic period, making them between 170-180 million years old. They are of marine origin, two are bivalve marine molluscs and one is a sea urchin. These creatures burrow into the sea bed, suggesting that 180 million years ago Sibford was under water.
