Memorial Inscriptions
The index below lists the names and locations of nearly all those buried in the churchyard of Holy Trinity Church.
In 2004 the Sibfords Society carried out a survey to record the inscriptions on all the headstones in the main churchyard (sections 1 – 5 in the map below). We are gradually uploading these inscriptions to this website; once uploaded, the grid-reference in the index is outlined and is a link to the inscription; dates will also be filled in.
The inscriptions recorded in 2004 are not faithful transliterations of the engravings. The names and dates can generally be relied on, but the precise formatting of dates and layout of text was not captured in the worksheets.
