Diary of Rev Edward Stevens

1894, October 12, Friday

A delightful Autumn day. Mild, calm, bright. Drove Bell and Rosa to Bloxham. Called at Captain Paul’s Lodge. Could not make any one hear. Called on the Boissiers and Captain Davies: all out. Called on Mr and Mrs Wade at Tadmarton on our return. They were both at home, and we stayed probably an hour.

1894, October 13, Saturday

Somewhat foggy, but otherwise fine. Visited Mrs Turner, Thomas Keen and Job Harris. Messrs Miller and Abbotts collect the allotment rents this evening. Mrs Shelswell’s furniture was sold by auction at Burdrop to day.
