Mr Langley called this evening about the needlework account. He told me of the discord at the Dixon Reading-room. Dixon, the President, has taken offence at the action of John F. Inns, the Secretary, and given up all connexion with it. Leake has given up, because they did not have soup and boiled beef at the recent supper, and Butcher Harris and his son have ceased to be members because they were not chosen to supply the beef.
