Diary of Rev Edward Stevens

1886, June 8, Tuesday

Webb drove Bell, Cassie Heming and Miss Maria Dix to the Deddington Deanery Choral Festival at Banbury Parish Church (the 22nd year).

Mrs John Shelswell and Miss Clarke called.

I was nursing my leg at home all day.

Lewis Poulton, Secretary to the Club, called and asked me to write a report for the local papers, which I did.

1886, June 9, Wednesday

At home all day nursing my leg.

Bell visited Fanny (Mrs John) Barnes for me.

Rosa went to tea with the Misses Dix. It was the first time she had been into their house since her illness commenced, and she enjoyed her visit very much.
