1885, May 17, Sunday 

Very showery with some thunder and lightning.

Frank has measles. I sent for doctor to see that he went on all right. He gave some cough medicine.

1885, May 18, Monday

Cold and showery.

Visited Sam Woolgrove. It is arranged that the doctor shall collect the subscriptions for the tea on Club day.

Visited Mr Woolgrove.

1885, May 19, Tuesday

Visited School.

Drove Bell out this afternoon but it was intensely cold.

Mr Leicester, locum tenens for Dr Routh for a day or two called to see Frank who is in bed with measles.

“John Horsman used to say that Solomon had 300 wives and 600 crocodiles.” Elley.
