Cloudy day. Visited Mrs Pearce. Drove to Hook Norton this evening.
Miss Maria Dix sent me £3.1.6 which she had collected towards expenses of Choral Festival in May last.

St Bartholomew. Visited Mrs Pearce, taught in Boys’ Sunday School. Visited Girls’ Sunday School. Attended Choir practice this evening.
Mt Hitchcox was at Church this afternoon. I had a talk with him on indifferent matters. He said Mrs H was not well.
Windy day. Rain in evening. Visited Mrs Pearce.
Wet morning. Fine afternoon. Visited Mrs Pearce.
Banbury Flower show. Drove Chrissie Henderson, Rosa and Mrs Stevens there. Took tea at Mr Henderson’s. Left Chrissie there. Mr Maclean walked in but drove back with us.
Cold, windy, raining all day.
Visited Mrs Pearce and Ann Bond.
Wrote to Fortescue & Sons, Solicitors Banbury at their request, giving them for 2nd time instructions respecting lease of Heath Farm to Mr Hiorns. They have lost or mislaid my first letter.
Visited Mrs Pearce, David Hone and Mary Wilks. Much rain and very high wind tonight.
Visited Mrs Pearce, Hannah Keene, John Padbury. Mr Maclean walked to Birmingham.
As unlikely as it may seem, the handwriting fits better to Birmingham (40 miles) than to Burmington (8 miles). An original destination of “Leamington” (21 miles) has been crossed out.
Visited William Poulton. Paid him account amounting to £8.8. for self. Walked to Epwell to see Mr Montagu.
Visited Mrs Pearce. Drove to Wroxton this afternoon with intention of calling on Mr Izatt the Rector, but as a storm appeared to be brewing we turned back before we reached the village.
I have had very little sleep during the past two days owing to rheumatism in the head.
Mr Maclean returned.
