Text, letter

Thank You, George!

I know I am expressing the thoughts of many readers of the “Scene” in saying how much we have appreciated George’s service over the years. We have never once failed to find the milk on our doorstep in even the most appalling weather. I can’t imagine George will be idle, but I hope he will enjoy getting up at a more civilized hour.

Wyn Johnston

(Wyn was the first of several villagers who kindly offered to thank George publicly for his unfailing service to the Sibfords which he maintained for more than 20 years. Well done, George! The Editor.)
