Update from Cherwell District Council re Local Plan Review

Following the Options Consultation in October 2021 a lot of work has gone into progressing the Cherwell Local Plan Review including reviewing all the comments made by our town and parish councils. The next stage of the plan, known as the “draft” Local Plan is now due to be considered by the Executive at a special meeting on Thursday 19^th January and, if approved, will be published for consultation shortly afterwards.  

The draft plan contains proposed policies for housing in the district, a revised settlement hierarchy as well as proposed allocations.  The Planning Policy Team will be contacting all Parishes early in the new year with details of consultation arrangements including specific events for Town and Parish Councils.
