BOND may have the answer…

Oxfordshire Family History Society (OFHS) is ready to release its Big Oxfordshire Names Database (BOND) during the week commencing 9th September 2024.

BOND is a name rich data source of anyone who left their mark in Oxfordshire with search facilities which will bring to light ancestors across multiple sources previously all held separately. It will be available to members of OFHS. The initial release covers:

1. Parish Registers transcriptions: Baptisms, Marriages, Banns and Burials
2. Monumental Inscriptions (MIs)- with images
3. Surnames – Developed from hundreds of books/lists containing Oxfordshire names amounting to nearly 200,000 lines of people data (in 2024) dating from the medieval period to the 20th century
4. Surname variants and Oxfordshire places

Membership of OFHS is £10 per annum for a UK household and £15 per annum for an Overseas household. Membership can be obtained on-line at www.ofhs.uk/become-a-member
