BBOWT competition success for local photographers

Two Sibford residents, both members of Sibford Photography Club, have been successful in a competition run by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.

Harry Berks won the Insects and Arachnids category with his stunning head-on close-up shot of a white-legged damselfly taken at Lamb’s Pool, which was also selected as the overall winner from the 454 entries!

Colin Lamb was winner of the Team Wilder category with his action shot of a hummingbird hawk moth feeding from a salvia flower in his garden.

Both those images will feature in the 2024 BBOWT calendar, along with the other category winners. All the winners and runners up can be seen on the BBOWT web site at https://www.bbowt.org.uk/get-involved/photo-competition-results-2023 and the winners are also shown in an item on the BBC News web site at https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-67143054.
