Horti Society visit to Oddington

Timetable

3.20pm arrive at village hall for car share. You will be given directions; please be ready to depart promptly at 3.30pm

4pm arrive Pasture Farm Oddington. Pasture Farm is an informal country garden developed over 40 years by the current owners. Mixed borders, topiary, orchard and many species of trees plus gravel garden and rambling roses in ‘the ruins’. A wildflower area leads to a vegetable patch. There is a large spring-fed pond with ducks. Also bantams, chickens, black Welsh sheep and Kunekune pigs.

5pm arrive Banks Barn, Upper Oddington, GL56 0XG – garden visit and refreshments. Banks Barn is renowned for its buddleia walk with more than 90 buddleias of 60 different varieties planted on the edge of a meadow. It is a haven for all kinds of butterflies and wildlife.  The owners hold the second national collection of buddleias.

Cost

Horti members  £15; non-members £20.
Includes entry to both gardens and refreshments.
