Film Night: “Hunt for the Wilderpeople”
Our film this month is about a defiant kid Ricky, who gets a fresh start with foster parents in the New Zealand countryside.
He quickly finds himself at home with his new family; the loving Aunt Bella, the cantankerous Hec, and dog Tupac.
When a tragedy strikes that threatens to ship Ricky to another home, both he and Hec go on the run in the bush.
As a national manhunt ensues, the newly branded “outlaws” must face their options: go out in a blaze of glory, or overcome their differences and survive as a family.
Lively humour, a touching crowd pleaser, the film reminds us what a journey growing up is. Running time 101 minutes.
Doors open 7:00pm. Film starts at 7:30pm.
Entry £2 per adult, £1 per student.
Drinks available, or feel free to bring your own wine.
