A Concert for Love

Christina is a second generation, classically trained, harpist who created the International Harp Therapy movement some twenty five years ago and which has spread throughout the world. She has written many of her own beautiful and lyrical compositions and will be playing some of these.

Her particular strength, derived from tuning in to the needs of the young, the disabled and the sick, is in playing in the keys and modes that will be most beneficial to them, especially in a hospital environment. She manages to translate this ability to the concert stage and has a large repertoire of classical, medieval, and jazz inspired music to offer. She regrets that there will be no hard rock! There will be an opportunity for the audience to join in with a chant.

She met Andrea Salvatore through their work with an Amma Youth Group in Germany and will accompany him singing French, Spanish and Italian songs, including the Ave Maria by Caccini.

There will be a short talk and film about Harp Therapy.

Entry free; donations welcome to support the work of Harp Therapy in the UK.
