Drove Bell to Banbury and brought out Maude Green on a visit till Saturday. Her father is William Green, of Highlands, Sarisbury, Southampton. He is a son of late Mrs Green my late father’s sister, of Foots Cray, Kent. I have not seen him for something like 35 years. He has made his fortune in business and lives retired. We like his daughter Maude very much. I took her for a walk round Sibford Ferris and Pig & Whistle this evening. Called on Mr Woolgrove. Saw Mrs W but not him.
