Winter evenings are with us and indoor pursuits take over from fetes and cricket. Members of all the village societies will be showing how much they know at the annual Village Hall Quiz, to be held this year on Friday, 18th November. Last year the Methodists won the trophy after a triple tie-breaker. Are their opponents in secret training to wrest it from them in 1977? Whoever wins, it is one of the most happy and entertaining evenings open to the whole village and so much easier to think of the answers when you are sitting safely in the audience!
