Horti Society visit to Priors Marston
Please note – there is a change to our programme for this visit. We will be visiting West View House in Priors Marston as planned and then instead of Priors Marston Manor (who has cancelled) we will visit Hardwick Hill Garden in Priors Hardwick – just 5 minutes drive from West View House which we will visit first.
We will travel in our own cars. Meet at Sibford Village Hall car park at 1.55pm to share lifts ready for departure at 2pm. The journey should take about 45 minutes but we have allowed an additional 15 minutes for possible HS2 road closures. Please make sure that you have the addresses and post codes of the gardens as below.
West View House
Barbara Flint, the owner of this small gem of a garden, will be there to meet us at 3pm. She says that there is plenty of parking on the green and West View House is the only house with a thatched roof.

After a 5 minute drive, arrive at 4pm. There’s plenty of parking in the drive and Candy Kelly, the owner, will be there to welcome us.

Candy says that the garden includes a kitchen garden with raised beds, two wildflower meadows and a swimming pond in one of the meadows which will be in full flower during June. There are formal beds near to the house all of which have been designed by the owner.
As well as guiding us on a tour of her garden, Candy will be providing afternoon tea with sandwiches, cake, tea, coffee and elderflower. Please contact Véronique (see below) if you have any dietary requirements.
Cost & Booking
Horti members £15; non-members £20. Cost includes entry to both gardens, garden tour, and afternoon tea. The garden owner has asked for 3 working days to prepare for the catering and so we will need final numbers by Friday 7th June.
