Rain in afternoon. Continued painting. House in great disorder. “Spring fever.”

Rain. Some thunder yesterday and today. Sent R Sabin with horse and cart to Heath to bring a load of sawdust for Ruby to lie on. Straw cannot be got and is not good for her. Rev A Mosley, Mrs Moseley. Her sister and two of his nieces called. They had been to see Compton Wynyates.
