Diary of Rev Edward Stevens

1894, May 28, Monday 

Took Penny Bank and Clothing Club at schol at 12. Mr Cluff took Library at 7. I was busy painting doors in dining room. Drove Bell to Sibford Heath and round by Pig & Whistle. Called at William Webb’s. Saw Mrs Webb and Charlotte.

1894, May 30, Wednesday

Rain. Some thunder yesterday and today. Sent R Sabin with horse and cart to Heath to bring a load of sawdust for Ruby to lie on. Straw cannot be got and is not good for her. Rev A Mosley, Mrs Moseley. Her sister and two of his nieces called. They had been to see Compton Wynyates.
