Mr Thomas Hitchcox called. Paid him for stubble and lime supplied for repairs at the Heath Farm and for straw for myself. For the stubble he charged £2 per load. For the straw £4 per load.
Miss Gibbs formerly of the Elm, Sibford Ferris, called and asked me to let her have a copy of marriage register relating to her sister’s marriage with Mr ?? Hitchcock of Charwelton, Daventry.
John Horsman called. Paid him £5 odd for mason’s work at the Heath Farm. The wages are as follows:
- Masons 4/6 per day
- Labourer 2/8 per day
- Boy 1/4 per day
