Much rain.

Mr Thomas Hitchcox called. Paid him for stubble and lime supplied for repairs at the Heath Farm and for straw for myself. For the stubble he charged £2 per load. For the straw £4 per load.

Miss Gibbs formerly of the Elm, Sibford Ferris, called and asked me to let her have a copy of marriage register relating to her sister’s marriage with Mr ?? Hitchcock of Charwelton, Daventry.

John Horsman called. Paid him £5 odd for mason’s work at the Heath Farm. The wages are as follows:

• Masons 4/6 per day
• Labourer 2/8 per day
• Boy 1/4 per day

Holy Communion – offertories for the Diocesan Education Society. Bishop’s letter. Attended Sunday School this afternoon.

Preached at Brailes this evening for Mr Smith who was not very well.
