The snows of yesteryear

Many people have asked us to make special mention of George Hall’s valiant service in keeping up his regular milk deliveries throughout the blizzards and drifts of December and January. We were better served than many in the towns. Thank you, George, and thanks also to the various other tradesmen who kept us supplied, despite the difficulties.

The last word on the subject belongs to the children whose comments you will find scattered around the magazine.

Frost bite

Blowing blizzard
Snowflakes falling everywhere,
Drifting snow by every wall and hedge,
Children sliding, making snowmen.
Footprints and car tracks on the road.
