Sibford DogFest

Sibford DogFest is on Saturday 6th October in the Vllage Hall. Doors open at 1pm and the dog show starts at 2pm.

Pet Pawtraits for £10 including a digital image by photographer Hannah Sorrell – ideal for Christmas presents.

There will be a Canine Café for dogs and their owners, tombola stall, raffle etc. The local DogLost team will be there, sharing information about the great work they do in helping to reunite lost dogs with their owners and will also be judging the dog show.

Fun dog show with rosettes to 6th place:

  • Best Young Handler (Under 14 years)
  • Cutest Puppy (under 1 year)
  • Most Handsome Dog
  • Prettiest Bitch
  • Best Veteran
  • Best Rescue
  • Waggiest Tail
  • Best of the Fest!

Depending on numbers and weather, the Dog Show will be inside in the big hall. People without pooches are also very welcome. If your dog is quite nervous, then it may be better to leave them at home – if you want a photograph, then please feel free to contact Tracey to arrange a time on the day.

Money raised will be going to Camps International projects in Peru, Dan Morbey is going for a month next year and will be helping conservation, wildlife and educational community projects in poorer rural communities. All of Dan’s own costs have been covered personally so all money raised will be going directly to the causes and to fund the projects he will be working on.

It will take a while, but we’re gradually building up this archive of complete copies of all editions of the Sibford Scene since its inception in 1977.

Above, we’ve copied out one or two items that may be of historical interest. To see the whole edition, click on the front-page image to download it as a pdf.
