RSPCA

The sum of £109.79p was collected for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in the Gower and Ferris.

Thank you to all those who helped with the collection and to everyone who gave so generously.

Judy Abbott

National Garden Scheme

Despite the coldness of the day on June 2nd, the Sibford Ferris gardens, which opened for the NGS, ‘were well attended and the scheme’s charities will benefit by £377.50. As a bonus the Play Area also made £134 by providing tea and cakes, which were much appreciated.

Thanks must go to all the friends, relatives and neighbours (especially the ones who lent their garage for the teas), who sat freezing selling tickets, made cakes, helped serve teas and supervised the car park (thanks also to the Friends School for allowing cars to park in the Piece). They all contributed to a happy and successful afternoon.

The Children's Society

I would like to thank all those who so generously supported the Society during the Envelope week collection.

Also, my very grateful thanks to the band of helpers who undertook the distribution of envelopes – £199.29 was sent to the Society, a truly commendable effort.

Many thanks also to the Box Holders – whose savings resulted in a further £121.58 for this very worthwhile cause. I have several spare boxes available if anyone would like to help the Society in this way. It is quite surprising how the odd small items of change accumulate to a sizeable amount in the course of a year.

M. L. Poulton

Red Cross

Anne Stephens and I would like to thank everybody who came and gave so generously to the Coffee Morning, held at Western Leas in aid of the British Red Cross. The total for the morning was £531. We are delighted!

We could not have organised it without the efficiency of our helpers.

Many thanks,
Toonie Law.

BBONT Coffee Morning

A big THANK YOU to the 55 or so folk who braved the weather on 22 June to support our coffee morning in aid of BBONT – plus a special THANK YOU to the ‘dynamic decade’ of helpers. A total of £190 was raised plus £75 taken at the BBONT table.

Miriam & Ray Henbrey

Holy Trinity

The recent church fete held at Holmby House, Sibford Ferris was, in spite of the weather most successful. Many thanks to the Bishop and Mrs Russell and to all the helpers and of course to Erica Wimbush who organised the event. The takings were in excess of £500 and profits will go towards the church repair fund.
