A New Beaver Colony!

Boys between the ages of, 6 and 8 years are invited to join a new Beaver Colony that will meet on Friday evenings at Sibford Village Hall from 4.30 to 5.45 pm. commencing 17th June 1988.

Beavers officially became part of tile Scout Movement last year and fill a need for boys who are keen to start their scouting career but who are not old enough to become Cubs. They wear a simple uniform of grey jogging suit and turquoise neck scarf common to all colonies. After an initial period the boys make a simple promise an are welcomed into the Scout Movement. Programme activities are unstructured and concentrate on learning through fun and games.

This new Colony will be under the leadership of Robin Spicer. There will be a single joining fee of £2.00. Weekly subscriptions will be 0.30p and in common with other sections of the Group, an annual membership fee is levied. The fee this year was £6.25 per boy.
