Burial ground

The burial ground at the Friends Meeting House in Sibford Gower has been used for nearly three hundred years. Recently, Friends were pleased to agree that the ashes of Miriam Guest, for so many years a matron at the School, should be interred there.

As the area available for future burials is limited, Friends have decided that only members of The Society of Friends or those closely associated with the Society or with Sibford School, should be buried there.

Sibford History Circle

Ten people attended the meeting in September. A map of Sibford showing land holdings, made by Henry Poulton while at the Friends School 59 years ago, was looked at. It was suggested that it could be updated to the present time. The next meeting will take place in late November/early December.
