Raise the roof

As many readers of the Scene will know, the Village Hall Committee is faced with repairing the Hall roof at a cost of some £8,500, and hopes also to raise some extra money for further development for the benefit of all existing and potential users of the Hall.

New arrivals

Those readers who take an interest in the fortunes of the Gower pond will be delighted to see that there are now two ducklings. They are not the offspring of the two remaining adults, but were hatched by Fred Inns (Jnr) in his incubator. Like all infants, they are reluctant to be taken home to bed at night, so will, no doubt, soon become a permanent part of the scene.
