Cherwell District Council writes: We are expecting a storm to hit the area, with heavy rainfall starting from around 17.00 today (Thursday 13 November).

The rain may last until tomorrow evening, or possibly until Saturday morning.

There will be potential safety issues due to surface water on roads, extra care should be taken whilst travelling.

Most river and stream levels are low, and the ground has high absorption potential, so the Environment Agency is not expecting flooding like that we experienced in Autumn 2024.

An indicative alert around Sor Brook, Bloxham and Bodicote is likely to be issued later this evening.
