Black Knap, courtesy of Karl and Rachel Devine: Four years ago there was no garden at Black Knap, it was a dumping ground for hundreds of old tyres, rubble and tons of lead shot which all had to be cleared. Hard to believe when you discover the delights of a prairie garden, a unique potager approached by a stepped rill, a sunken Mediterranean pool garden and long views from the front of the house. The hard landscaping is superb and it is inspiring to see such talented work in stone. An amazing transformation.

Chivel Farm, courtesy of John and Ros Sword: Chivel Farm is a long established country garden with extensive views; the English garden at its best. There are colour themed borders, many unusual trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants all put together with artistry and flair for shape, form and colour to create year round interest. There is a harmony here that extends to the far reaches of the garden and into the wider landscape. A beautifully crafted garden.
