Horti visit – Aston Pottery and garden

A close up of a flower garden

Meet at village hall at 9.55am to car share. Drive time is about 50 minutes, visit begins at 11am. Leave pottery at about 3pm (earlier or later as you wish).

Address: Aston Pottery, Kingsway Farm, Aston, Oxon, OX18 2BT. The Pottery is situated off the B4449 on the edge of Aston.

The garden at Aston Pottery may be familiar to you as it has featured on Gardener’s World and in many renowned magazines including the RHS The Garden Magazine, Cotswold life and Gardens illustrated to name but a few. It is a truly inspiring garden. For example, they grow 8,500 seedlings starting in March and then plant out 6,500 seedlings each year. It’s a real lesson in gardening and this year you have the opportunity to see the results for yourself.

The award-winning Country Café is open between 9.30am and 4.30pm with lunch being served between 12pm and 3pm. Rumour has it that they offer the best quiche and cake and if that were not enough, there’s a gift shop showcasing the pottery as well.

Cost £6.50 includes garden entrance and guided tour
