Christmas seems a long time ago now, but just in case we missed thanking anyone for the cards and gifts, thank you all very much.

Our house looks very colourful with the plants we received and some bulbs are just starting to show colour, so we’ll be reminded of the festive season for sometime to come.

As many of you will now know we were successful in the Best Rural Retailer competition, run by the Countryside Alliance in partnership with the Daily Telegraph and Farmers Weekly. We won the Best Village Shop / Post Office in Oxfordshire. Thank you all. very much for your nomination and votes. By winning we were afforded much needed publicity in the Banbury Guardian, who did us proud with the best part of a page covering our win. We hope that this publicity and the win itself will stand us in good stead when the Post Office announces cuts later this year. Without all of our customers we couldn’t have won the reward, so can we please ask you all to continue to use the Post Office whenever possible.
