Dear Readers

As announced on the front page, our Diarist will be retiring from that post at the end of the year. Also, the Editor, for the last two and a half years, of the Young Scene has had to give up for family reasons. I would be pleased to hear from anyone interested in taking over either of these jobs.

Coincidentally, at the end of July I agreed to be persuaded to reduce the time I spend in producing the Sibford Scene. Hence the decision not to produce a separate Scene for October. There will be a separate issue for November but after that the Scene will be published bi-monthly, unless someone comes forward with a practical alternative proposal

I look forward to receiving a flood of proposals.
