The Old Court House, Carriers Cottage, Temple Close, Sunday May 21st

The sun shone! My how it scorched down! Shirt sleeves were the order of the day and the girls were resplendent in hastily ironed summer dresses recovered at the last minute from boxes under the bed.

Couples, arm in arm, sauntered over immaculate lawns or lazed in idyllic shady bowers drinking in the amazing blend of scent and colour – only the “Fortnum and Mason’s ” Hampers were missing from a Glyndebourne in Sibford feeling!

The gardens were delightful and made all the lovelier by the fantastic sunlight drenched backdrop of the rolling Oxfordshire countryside, which enhances all views on this piece of our wonderful island.

A truly typical English day in Spring when thoughts and hopes soar and gratitude flowers from THANKFUL hearts.
