  • Local artists Ginny Bennett, Sue Levitch and Rosie Wells will be using Cherington Hall CV36 5HG for their exhibition, 11am to 4pm daily. They will have a wide variety of subjects, in oil paintings ,acrylics and mixed media. The hall at Cherington has good parking and disabled access. Refreshments will be available and a selection of cards printed from the art work will be on sale.
  • Local artist Nigel Fletcher is at Swalcliffe Village Hall.

A large fire in a dark room

Join the torch light procession, leading to the lighting of the Sibford Beacon. Bring your own electric torches, lanterns, phones.
  • Start from the Gower pond at 21:30
  • Beacon lighting in Village Hall field at 21:45 to coincide with other countrywide beacons.

The demise of a village cricket club: For 104 years Sibford has had a cricket pitch in the field behind the Village Hall. Alas, no more. We have not been favoured with permission to use the pitch for future seasons.

Attended Board of Guardians at Banbury.

Called on Canon Payne on my way back. he opened the door to me, so he is much better than he was.

He purpose starting on his usual summer yachting cruise next Wednesday.
