137 years ago: Reverend Stevens's diary for Sun 6 December 1885

Married Jane Lamb of Sibford Gower (daughter of John and Eliza Lamb) and John Henry Dunn, of Walton d'Erville?, Warwickshire, who comes from Shutford, and lived as groom in the family in which Jane lived as housemaid.

They both came to Church this morning and remained to Holy Communion with the Bridesmaid (his sister).

I gave the offertory to the Diocesan Spiritual Society in response to the Bishop's letter.

Attended Choir practice this evening.
