The minutes of parish council meetings list planning applications that have been notified to the council since the last meeting.
Recent planning applications in the Sibfords are listed on the website Planning Applications page and on the village notice board. On the Planning Applications page, the application reference number is a link to the application on the Cherwell District Council website, where you can find all relevant papers and comments associated with the application.
Information about the planning process and the part played by the parish council is included in our Planning Committee Terms of Reference.
If you are thinking of altering or extending your property, a good source of advice is the UK Government’s Planning Portal. Some types of alteration, called “permitted development” do not usually require planning permission, but quite often do if your property lies within the Conservation Area, which covers much of the villages.
