The Town Estate Charity

A Helping Hand for Sibford Gower and Burdrop Residents

The Town Estate Charity (Sibford Gower and Burdrop) has been part of our community since around 1560. It was set up to support three important causes:

  • To benefit the primary school,
  • To provide general benefits to the parish of Sibford Gower,
  • To relieve residents in need, hardship, or distress.

Today, the Trustees continue this tradition by giving small grants to individuals and organisations, where help isn’t available from other charitable sources of the Government. Recent grants have supported coach trips and excursions, the Sibford Lunch Club, the Warm Hub, chiropody services, student needs, fuel and insulation costs, garden maintenance, alarm systems, and care for the elderly.

In the current economic climate, we know that more people than ever may be finding things difficult. If you live in Sibford Gower or Burdrop, and you or a neighbour would benefit from a helping hand, we would love to hear from you.

Our new email address is sibfordtec@gmail.com
